Objective criteria for choosing the limited number of candidates: NHSBT propose the top six scoring companies will be invited to tender providing all of the necessary due diligence criteria has been met.

The contract will include an initial phase 1 (covering the migration requirement) and then include a phase 2. hosting services (after the successful completion of phase 1.) which will run for a two year period commencing after the completion of phase 1. This is with the option to extend for a further two, one year periods.
Potential suppliers should note that, in accordance with Government’s policies on transparency, NHS Blood and Transplant intends to publish the Pre-Qualification
Questionnaire (PQQ), the Invitation to Tender (ITT) document, and the text of any Contract awarded, subject to possible redactions at the discretion of NHS Blood and Transplant.
The terms of the proposed contract will also permit a public sector contracting authority, to publish the text of that contract, subject to possible redactions at the discretion of the contracting authority. The suppliers whose PQQ responses are successful and are taken through to Invitation to Tender (ITT) stage will have their ITT response evaluated, as follows:
The tender will be evaluated firstly in accordance with the award criteria (criteria 1 to 5). Please refer to the award criteria for an explanation of the scoring.
The second phase will consist of a supplier presentation, references and testimonials and a demonstration of the proposed solution.
After which the second phase will be subject to additional scoring, please refer to the award criteria for an explanation of the scoring. NHS Blood and Transplant envisage this to be between 3 – 5 suppliers.
