The qualities we seek in a provider include: a commitment to maintaining high quality, accurate and useful data; the ability to engage and persuade various sports stakeholders to own and manage the quality of their data; and flexibility in supporting evolving Sports England needs.
The services provider is expected to:
Improve information quality
— Manage and improve ‘Active Places’ site and facilities data ‘day to day’ to meet quality levels set with Sport England. Utilise data management tools to cleanse and validate this data to these quality levels.
— Assess and improve the scope of site and facilities information available to Sport England through innovative processes to find and bring new sites into the system or identify new facilities in existing sites.
— Validate and confirm a specific set of user changes, prior to posting on the system (e.g. chase and validate initial owners, new or reactivated sites, closures, etc.).
Engage with stakeholders
— Support and facilitate behaviour changes in Site Owners, National Governing Bodies (NGBs), third party clubs (e.g. British Military Fitness), commercial activities providers to become more proactive in making changes to their site information and to maintain a high level of quality and completeness.
— Provide outbound calls to sites owners, NGBs, clubs, commercial activities providers, etc. to chase and capture changes needed to maintain the quality and accuracy of their information and coordinate, check and apply batch updates for NGB’s and others who may need this service.
— Provide incoming support (service desk through phone, email etc.) for site owners, NGBs, clubs etc. explaining how to use of the system, making updates to the database and resolving issues.
Provide flexible support for ‘Active Places’ goals
— Provide pre-defined reports on calls, batch runs, communications, data quality etc. and occasional ad hoc reports as needed.
— Work with ‘Active Places’ platform provider to improve the platform and processes to deliver a more effective service for those using the platform and those managing the data.
— Adapt to demand that may be generated by specific campaigns from Sport England or their partners.
— Demonstrate the capacity to take on additional negotiated project work (e.g. to add calendar of events, new facility types or additional metrics) or support capabilities (e.g. online chat) above and beyond the contract.
