The purpose of the scheme is to provide support and to facilitate the development of the debt advice sector, identifying areas for improvement, supporting organisations to establish the actions required and to monitor the implementation of change.
The scheme will require the recruitment, training and ongoing management and moderation of expert debt advisers to ‘peer review’ the files of debt advisers within organisations and to establish a mechanism for managing the secure distribution of case files.
There will be a requirement to analyse all the data collected through the scheme to identify good and best practice and to highlight common problem areas.
A provisional date of 7th December has been held for a supplier event.
