Description of the contract

There is a critical business need to make the best use of space in the DECC buildings in London, as we are currently operating at full capacity. Therefore, any suggestions that can be made to improve the existing space is to be welcomed. This could contribute to a better working environment in which the buildings are made a more pleasant place to work and should fit the business need of DECC more appropriately. Whilst we cannot generate any more physical more space, we need this study to confirm that that we are making best use of the limited space that we do have. An independent Workplace strategic Consultancy Study is required by parties who have both a track record and expertise in this particular field, so as to suggest innovative solutions that might not have been previously identified.

If you wish to take part in this procurement please see the attached Tender documents attached to this Notice and send your completed Proposal to Mari Scullion at address stipulated in the “Who to Contact” section. Any late submissions will not be considered. DECC reserves the right to halt the procurement process and to not award a contract. DECC will not be held liable for recovery of costs from unsuccessful bids if a contract is not awarded. All costs will be borne by the bidding organisations. If a contract is created it will be upon DECC Standard Terms and Conditions, which are available on the main DECC website – www.decc.gsi.gov.uk and will be issued to organisations invited to submit a tender bid. Completed tender submission must be returned by post to DECC, address given at the top of this advertisement, by Friday 14th June 2013. We require 3 hard copies (one of which must be signed). Electronic versions of your bids are to be sent to Mari Scullion (mari.scullion@decc.gsi.gov.uk). Interviews, if deemed necessary, will be held in the week commencing 17th June (suppliers will be notified of this in the week commencing 17th June 2013). If successful and upon contract signature, the supplier is expected to attend a kick-off meeting taking place on 24th June. Project completion is required by 7th October..
