The role of the consultant is to work with community groups, business groups and groups of interest within the Dee Valley to encourage them to take an active role in the development of facilities available to visitors to the Dee Valley. The consultant will need to develop the groups’ capacity so that they are able to capitalise on new opportunities that have resulted from the recent extension of the Clwydian Range Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty into the Dee Valley. The consultant will also assist in developing a medium and long term strategic plan for the area, and to seek funding to continue these activities beyond 2013.
