|Est. Start Date:||24/06/2013|
|Est. End Date:||30/08/2013|
Nottinghamshire County Council has developed a Dementia Care Quality Mark audit tool/framework and is seeking the services of a provider organisation to independently undertake the audit of the Care Homes that wish to apply for the Dementia Care ‘Quality Mark’ using the agreed audit tool/framework.
As part of a recent ‘Fair Price for Care’ review of the framework and the fee levels the decision was made to independently assess Care Homes, to identify whether they are providing good quality dementia care, through the award of a Dementia Care ‘Quality Mark’. The enhanced fees for dementia care will be allocated to those homes awarded the Quality Mark.
The Council anticipates that approximately 140 of the 174 independent sector older persons’ Care Homes within Nottinghamshire might wish to apply for the Dementia Care ‘Quality Mark’.
The work is anticipated to start in mid June and the completion date is end of August 2013
