Description of the contract
Capita are recruiting a number of Project Managers to join out central government client on a high profile programme. This role is initially for 3 months and will involve a lot of travel across the UK; the successful contractor will need to be based in London, Preston or Newcastle on a regular basis. There are several projects that are based in different locations across England and there is a high volume of travel to stakeholder sites. These Projects rely on developing close and effective working relationships with a variety of stakeholders including Landlords, Local Authorities, financial organisations and customer representative groups. Main Duties/ Responsibilities •Leading practical delivery of the Project implementation to time and cost •Leading and managing the design and development of appropriate change lifecycle products for the strand •Managing and co-ordinating the development and use of products and processes to enable testing of financial and budgeting products, solution and/or experience •Design and develop appropriate implementation products to ensure successful delivery of change •Manage the design and development of locally based solutions and models, ensuring testing, analysis and evaluation •Proactively managing delivery of priorities and plans, resolving and/or escalating issues quickly and effectively, identifying risks and taking timely action to mitigate •Responsible for monitoring, analysing and reporting progress and slippage •Actively engaging and managing relationships with senior internal and external stakeholders Skills/ Experience Required • Experience of negotiating with and coordinating a wide range of internal & external stakeholders. • Proven experience in designing and delivering change in a high profile, complex and fast moving business environment; • Experience of working in or with Local Government/Authorities • Previous project management experience • Experience of developing documentation, process maps, drawing conclusions and gaining agreement from multiple interested parties. Additional Comments Please note the successful candidate will be required to undergo Baseline Security Clearance, this is at a cost £25.
