Wyre Forest District Council is seeking a specialist leisure contractor and or consortia with appropriate disciplines to Design, Build, Operate and Maintain a new leisure centre in the district. The proposed location for the centre is the Silverwoods site, former site of the British Sugar factory, in Kidderminster. The estimated capital cost is approximately 10 million and core facilities shall include a 25 metre 6 lane swimming pool, teaching pool, 8 court sports hall, fitness facilities, a climbing wall, and some outdoor small sized synthetic pitches. The management and operation of the existing dual use site in Bewdley may also be included in the contract.
