Design, manufacture and delivery of a materials handler for the Port of Ayr capable of discharging vessels up to 5,000 dwt with a max depth of hold bottom below quay level of 9 m and maximum freeboard above quay level of 5 m. Discharge rates to be 250 tonnes per hour of bulk materials with densities ranging from 0.50 to 1.60 tonnes per cubic metre, directly into road vehicles with a minimum outreach of 21 m and minimum handling capacity of circa 10 tonnes at 13.5 m reach that can be slewed through 360 degrees. Due to quay loading restrictions the materials handler shall not exceed 20 tonnes per sq.m loading onto the quay and shall be a wheeled machine. The materials handler will be required to travel around the quays within the port. Grabs and other miscellaneous attachments will also be supplied which will be required to be interchangeable via a quick release mechanism. ABP reserves the option to purchase additional materials handlers from the successful supplier within a 3 year period.
