The Access Improvement Program comprises of the delivery of 3 major components: Desktop Virtualisation and an upgraded storage network infrastructure are regarded as the best way to deliver the needed delivery and access improvements. The Virtual Desktop and Storage Infrastructure should be implemented in an externally hosted and fully managed service offering. As a direct consequence the IT and IS Services to be delivered via the virtual desktops must be migrated from the current Head Office data centre, to the same external data centre as the VDI. It is expected as far as possible all services will be fully managed by a single partner.

Information and formalities necessary for evaluating if the requirements are met: (1) All candidates will be required to produce a certificate or declaration demonstrating that they are not bankrupt or the subject of an administration order, are not being wound-up, have not granted a trust deed, are not the subject of a petition presented for sequestration of their estate, have not had a receiver, manager or administrator appointed and are not otherwise apparently insolvent.
(2) All candidates will be required to produce a certificate or declaration demonstrating that the candidate, their directors, or any other person who has powers of representation, decision or control of the candidate has not been convicted of conspiracy, corruption, bribery, or money laundering. IT Access Improvement Programme.
To provide migration, hosting and management of all IT Network and Systems services, in an external and fully managed service.
Abstract.
Vision:
Significantly improve delivery of and access to IT Systems.
Mission:
To provide the capability which allows all 1200 authorised staff users of St. Mungo’s IT Systems to be able to logon anywhere, at any time, from any device and access all of the IT resources they require.
Value:
Whilst at the same time providing the additional benefits of reducing costs, improving performance, compliance and data security, infrastructure scalability and resilience.
Strategy:
To achieve the above, it is necessary to migrate current IT Network and Systems out and implement a Virtual Desktop and Storage Network infrastructure to an externally hosted and fully managed service.
