Description of the contract

The GMC has a legal duty to promote high standards of medical education. This includes the Continuing Professional Development (CPD) of doctors once they have completed their undergraduate medical education and postgraduate training. CPD is a key way for doctors to maintain professional standards and is one of the sources of information required for their appraisal and revalidation.

The GMC wish to launch a mobile application to support doctors capturing their CPD activities and reflections with a focus on services that are specifically useful in a mobile context.

The GMC are seeking proposals from firms with demonstrated experience to design, development, implement and support a native mobile application, compatible with Apple iOS (iphone/ipad) and Android (smartphones/tablets).
