Description of the goods or services required

Adverse Drug reactions (ADRs) are a patient safety concern and have an impact upon the workload for the NHS.

A supplier is invited to work within the context of the NES knowledge services to provide expert consultancy to: Develop a suite (6) of high quality e learning resources which have been identified as key to supporting the development of NHS staff capability in relation to ADRs.

The purpose of these e-Learning modules will be to support the objectives of Yellow Card Centre (YCC) Scotland (and the NHS) in increasing awareness of the harms that might be caused by medicines; how these harms can be avoided or minimised; and the responsibility of all healthcare groups to report adverse events that occur. At present there are no e-learning modules that meet these requirements.

There is a maximum budget of £25,000 GBP, excluding VAT for this project with the finalised modules to be delivered to NES by 31st March 2013.
