Description of the contract

DWP Insight have been commissioned by the PIP Programme to deliver a programme of user-centred design with claimants, local and national partners and staff to help design and develop products and processes to drive the desired behaviour and build the optimum claimant journey. These products and processes have then been iterated based on the insights from each round of testing. The Insight Programme has so far covered: • End to end journey; • Reassessment letters; • Claim forms; • Telephony scripts; • Notification letters; and • Effectiveness of training materials DWP Insight has now been asked to broaden its remit to start to understand some of the more strategic challenges of PIP, including how ‘digital by default’ will work in practise. Work has already commenced with colleagues in the digital arena to start to understand how insight can help shape the Department’s digital offer for PIP.

The Invitation to Tender will be issued by close of play on Tuesday 05th February 2013 and therefore suppliers can register on the eSourcing Suite between the issue date of this Contracts Finder advert and the deadline date. The clarification period will close Tuesday 12th February 2013 with responses issued by Wednesday 13th February 2013 at 11am.
