Nottingham City Council is completing an open accreditation of organisations who are able to deliver apprentice training across England. The national list of approved providers will be called the Directory of Approved Apprenticeship Training Providers (DAAP). The DAAP will be used by Nottingham City Council, it will also be made available for use by public body employers wishing to train apprentices across England. We are now inviting applications from experienced and qualified training providers who are already approved on the Register of Apprenticeship Training Providers. The service agreement will be established for 2 years with a possible extension of 2 further years. Once Accredited, providers will be selected to deliver training on the basis of who can best meet the needs of the apprentice, employer and value for money.

Nottingham City Council intends to offer a wide range of courses to employers across the country as a result of The DAAP. Training Providers are not required to deliver all courses, at all levels or in all areas, but instead can tailor their offer to their individual areas of expertise and locality. All courses must be valid Apprenticeship courses for delivery in England, either live Standards or Frameworks as set by Government. It is anticipated that a wide range of skills ranging from Level 2 to Level 7 will be needed to cater for a large variety of job roles across a multitude of business areas.
