Description of the contract
Royal Berkshire Fire Authority (The Authority) has entered into an arrangement with Royal Windsor and Maidenhead Council to facilitate the re-location/replacement of the existing Fire Station. The new building is likely to be ready for occupation c. April/May 2014, following which the existing Fire Station in St Marks Road will be surplus to Fire Authority requirements. The Authority is now looking to commission a suitable Consultant/Agent to bring the existing fire station to the market for disposal. The Authority wishes to secure the disposal in a timely fashion, to maximise the level of capital receipt generated and to minimise the costs associated with holding the property vacant pending disposal.
