Description of the contract

Eliminating paper and paper processes is central to improving efficiencies, health outcomes and delivering quality patient care. By helping to design and manage better services for our practices, we will support the modernisation agenda for Primary care and increase service efficiencies, ultimately resulting in better health care for patients. NHS West Cheshire CCG service objectives are to deliver a high quality, robust, NHS led service to other NHS organisations to free General Practice of its’ remaining paper patient records; to free up valuable practice floor space; to create staff efficiencies and to ensure that the patient data is stored electronically in a secure NHS data environment and is available to the right people at the right time. NHS West Cheshire CCG and its General Practices are pursuing a complete end-to-end, one stop shop service with a fixed price for the full term of the contract, with no surprises, backed up by strict NHS Information Governance standards and assurances for the storage and security of patient data. Please Note: contract duration will be 3 years with an option to extend for a further 2 years. The service specification is in the process of being developed and will be available to attendees prior to the Provider Engagement Event.
