Gwent Police invites expressions of interest from a film or television production company with the the capability to produce an hour long TV drama through co-production with a national broadcaster.
The proposed TV drama will be based on the subject of domestic abuse/violence and aim to bring the subject to the attention of the widest possible audience. It is envisaged that material explored in an existing and highly regarded training film would be incorporated into the film, together with an exploration of the causes of abuse, and ways of escaping from abusive relationships.
Organisations or individuals seeking to work with us on this project must demonstrate knowledge and experience of policing domestic abuse, including Marac, DASH, Workplace Policies, Stalking & Harassment and forthcoming legal changes.
It is vitally important that the Production/Broadcasting Organisation has the experience/proven track record in dealing with both the subject of domestic abuse and the sensitive handling of filming around the subject.
