Description of the contract

Norwich City Council (the Administering Authority) is seeking a supplier to continue providing its Domestic Abuse Outreach Service for a period of 3 years from 1st April 2012. The Domestic Abuse Outreach service is intended to provide adults, children and young people in Norwich who are currently in an abusive relationship with the necessary advice and support to help them to live more safely in the most appropriate place for them. The main focus of this specialist service is to prevent the crisis of homelessness through advice and support. It also aims to empower clients to live independently and keep themselves and their children safe. The current provider supports a minimum of 50 clients on an ongoing basis over a 12 month period. This service will provide the Council with the means of achieving its objectives in tackling homelessness in the City and our strategic aims and objectives contained within the Greater Norwich homelessness strategy. It will also contribute to the strategic aims of the countywide domestic abuse and sexual violence board.
