Tenders are invited for the supply of Domiciliary Care in for adults residing in Derby City. The Authority wishes to commission a service that enables customers and improves their wellbeing or quality of life and as such the quality of the service is measured by the improvement in quality of life or outcomes that the service provides to customers. An enablement approach lies at the heart of the services we wish to contract for Domiciliary Care and providers will be assessed for their success in this area.
The tender is split into geographical lots as follows:
• Lot 1 – Central Locality
• Lot 2 – West Locality
• Lot 3 – East Locality
• Lot 4 – South Locality
Tenderers can apply for one or more of the above lots however, any single bidder will only be awarded up to a maximum of two lots. For each of the four geographical lots, The Authority will appoint a maximum of four providers. Care packages will then be allocated between the Service Providers on a strictly rotational basis .
Providers will only be offered care packages relating to the locality lot for which they have successfully bid for and will be expected to undertake all packages offered to them unless there are exceptional circumstances which prevent this. The ability to take all tasks allocated will be a key performance measure for the continued contracting of this service with the Service Provider. However, if due to exceptional circumstances, all providers in one locality lot are unable to deliver the care package, The Authority reserves the right to allocate the package to providers in the adjacent locality lot.
The initial contract period is 36 Months; the contract is estimated to commence 2nd March 2015 and end on 1st March 2018 (subject to annual review).
