Description of the goods or services required

The Moray Council wishes to create a Framework Contract to purchase a range of personal and domiciliary care services from independent sector domiciliary care providers. These services are in addition and complimentary to those delivered by The Moray Council through its directly provided In-House services and Allied Healthcare through our current contract which will expire on 31 March 2015.

Total quantity or scope of tender

We currently provide a total of 6963 hours care per week through our internal service and 2771 hours care per week through our external provider however the demand for domiciliary care services is increasing at a faster rate than current provision can be expanded and we currently have an additional requirement for 551 hours per week and we believe that this will increase. The areas where we are struggling to provide care are as follows:
