Short Description: Domiciliary Care Monitoring and (optional) Scheduling Software
Detailed Description: The Council is looking to procure a system for monitoring the delivery of commissioned domiciliary care in order to support these key performance indicators:
• The percentage of care visits which are delivered,
• The percentage of care visits that are delivered at the agreed times in accordance with the support plan and
• The percentage of care visits which are delivered by the designated care workers in accordance with the support plan.
As well as supporting the performance indicators a number of other benefits are anticipated from the implementation of a monitoring system for commissioned domiciliary care as detailed below:
• Reduced numbers of late and missed calls
• Improved lone worker safety
• The Council only pays for the service actually delivered
The Council is also considering the merits of implementing either a monitoring or integrated monitoring and scheduling system for the in-house STEPS enablement service. The Council wishes to use such a system to provide management information to provide evidence to support the effectiveness of the new service. Additional anticipated benefits include:
• Improved the efficiency by reducing holding time
• Reduced mileage
• Reduced back room administration associated with roster management and timesheet processing
The Tender is therefore structured into the following elements:
• a domiciliary care monitoring system for external care providers;
• An option to extend this into domiciliary care monitoring system for the in-house STEPS service; and
• An option to purchase an integrated domiciliary care scheduling and monitoring system for the in-house STEPS service.
