Addendum Notes | Participation Survey: Westminster City Council (WCC) will accept variant bids that do not include a participation survey before and after door knocking (see 2.5). WCC is happy to undertake this part of the exercise internally. Value of contract: £45,000 is available for the main project. An additional amount of up to £45,000 is available for activities during a call off period. The maximum amount of money that can be received is £90,000. Resident requests for recycling bags or boxes: Scanned copies of handwritten recycling container orders will not be acceptable. Orders will need to be recorded in Microsoft Excel. |

Description | About the Opportunity: The City Council wishes to employ a suitably skilled and experienced consultant to conduct a door knocking exercise in the easy to reach streets of Westminster. They will: Encourage non participating residents to use the recycling service provided; Motivate participating residents to recycle collected items more often and limit contamination; Provide communications materials to all identified properties; Address any issues residents may have with the recycling service including taking container requests; Identify those factors preventing participation; Provide a critical evaluation of recycling services to inform service development; Support and feed in to consultation on the Westminster City Council (WCC) sustainable waste management strategy; and Encourage engagement in addition to the door knocking exercise by promoting the WCC’s recycling e-newsletter In addition to the door knocking exercise the City Council seeks the option of a call off resource to a maximum value of £45,000 to support further engagement with residents during the period 1st April 2013 to 31st March 2014. This is in addition to the £45,000 for the initial door knocking phase.
