Description of the contract

This contract is for Double Tilt heating holders are required for a transmission electron microscope. The product should allow direct observation of micro-structural phase changes, nucleation, growth and dissolution process at elevated temperatures. Both holders must meet the following essential requirements: • Second tilt up to minimum ±25° (preferably ±30°) • Drift Rate <0.2nm/sec* • Resolution 0.34nm at zero degrees tilt* • Minimum Capacity = 1 sample, 3mm diameter up to 100 microns thick * at 500°C or below for the heating holder The heating holder must also satisfy • Maximum temperature (UHR pole piece) 800°C • Ta anti-welding rings The cooling holder must also satisfy • Minimum temperature (UHR pole piece) -170°C • >3 hours cooling capacity from a single liquid nitrogen fill Please refer to http://in-tendhost.co.uk/universityofwarwick for further information.
