DCC seek the provision of the hire of drivers for use in emergency situations. Under the Framework, the Contractor will provide drivers on a short-term basis, which DCC will be able to request at any time day or night. The Contractor will provide drivers at short notice as detailed in the PQQ.
Drivers are required to drive DCC owned vehicles which are based at two DCC depots: one in Clydach, South Wales and the other in Dinas, North Wales. Drivers will be required to drive vehicles from the DCC depot to other locations which will be advised by DCC at the time of call-out.
Drivers will be required to drive any of the following DCC owned vehicles:
Articulated Tractor Unit 44 tonne
Rigid Tankers 18 tonne, 26 tonne and 32 tonne
Lorries Mounted with Cranes
The Tender will be split into 2 Lots geographically, as follows:
Lot1: Hire of Drivers — starting point Clydach, South Wales;
Lot 2: Hire of Drivers — starting point Dinas, North Wales.
All Tenderers will be invited to tender for both Lots, however Tenderers can choose to tender for only 1 of the 2 Lots if they wish.
Because it is not possible to predict the likelihood or nature of any emergency situations that may arise, there will be no guarantee of the level of work under this framework for the successful Contractor(s).

Range: between 700 000 and 3 500 000 GBP
