Description of the contract

The Advanced Driver Training Anti-rollover course, is an internationally recognised qualification and a fundamental enhancement to the skills and abilities of our Personnel who regularly transport large quantities of fuel on the public highways. The Royal Air Force is now looking to commission an Operational Requirement to primarily conduct Advanced Driver Training Anti-Rollover for an estimated 8 x 1 day courses for approximately 96 students per year. Training should comprise of the following elements: A. Instruction, theory and practical: Avoiding Vehicle Rollovers. B. Instruction, theory and practical: Anti-Jack-Knifing procedures. C. Advanced driving techniques in accordance with International and national advance driver techniques. D. Instruction, theory and practical: Anti-skidding techniques and the correct use of the Anti-lock Braking System (ABS) Given the technical aspects of the work the successful tender would need to satisfy the following criteria: • Courses to be conducted by fully qualified petroleum industry Anti-Rollover Instructors. • Deliver appropriate level of professional instruction for students. • Provide instruction, discussion and exposure to the subjects listed by classroom theory based instruction and practical demonstration covering all road conditions, within a safe environment. • Deliver training on MoD supplied vehicle and company supplied modified vehicle with equipment, together with associated fuels, oils and lubricants. • Provide all relevant referencing and study publications/material, in addition to concise lesson handouts which students can utilise as a post-course support and reference mechanism. • Contractor to nominate UK location and provide certificate of completion of training and refreshments on site.
