Gwent Police Authority invites expressions of interest for the provision of driver education offender rehabilitation scheme(s) to Gwent Police Authority, South Wales Police Authority, Dyfed Powys Police Authority and North Wales Police Authority.
Initially the four Authorities will require the successful contractor to provide theory only speed awareness courses and driver alertness throughout their geographical areas. The service provider would be required to carry out the courses in both English and Welsh and adhere to the Welsh Language Act.
Attendance on a speed awareness course may be offered to members of the public who would benefit from improving their driving skills following police intervention.
The contract will comprise of national speed awareness courses, driver alertness course, RIDE, course administration and any other national courses that become available during the contract period able to be delivered by the provider as an accredited provider for that course/s. The tender will be for 3 years with an option to extend for a further year with both parties agreement.
The Service Provider, on behalf of the Authorities shall be required to manage and administrate all aspects of the courses.
