Description of the goods or services required

The aim of the project is to secure the services of a consultant to provide a conservation area appraisal and management plan for the Dunfermline conservation area.

The conservation area appraisal will be a management tool which helps to identify the special interest and changing needs of the Dunfermline conservation area. The appraisal will provide the basis for the development of a programme of action that is compatible with the sensitivities of this historic area and enable Fife Council to fulfil their statutory duties to protect and enhance the conservation area. The appraisal will also inform policy and assist development control.
