Supplier engagement for market research required. DVLA’s current Merchant Acquirer (MA) contract allows DVLA to accept credit and debit card payments from card issuing banks.
The MA Contract supports a payment option for collection of receipts including Vehicle Excise Duty (VED) for customers transacting online, via Interactive Voice Recognition (IVR), by telephone to DVLA (including DVLA Contact Centre) and face to face at DVLA Reception processing an average of 28 million transactions per annum.
Other key DVLA services also utilise the MA as follows:
• personalised registrations online;
• driver licence online;
• digital tachograph system;
• trailers;
• duplicate driving licences (D90);
• electronic vehicle licensing (EVL);
• registration of number plate suppliers;
• duplicate vehicle registration documents (V62);
• drivers returned cheques;
• sale of marks;
• vehicle excise duty (VED) casework;
• enforcements;
• reception;
• online enforcement penalty payments.
