Lot 1: Public Transport (vehicles over 16 seats).
No specific contract requirements are anticipated for Lot 1 during the period of this notice.
Lot 2: Bus and Coach Transport (vehicles over 8 seats).
Various. 4 routes are anticipated for Lot 2 during the period of this notice with a combined value of 50,000 GBP over 4 years. These estimates are based on last year’s figures for the period June 2013 to August 2013. These are likely to be home to school transport routes.
Lot 3: Specially Adapted Vehicle Transport.
Various. Wheelchair accessible vehicle transport for special education needs children to attend school, looked after children to attend school or visits to family, and for vulnerable adults to attend day care centres.
Anticipated 6 routes to be required with an estimated combined value of all routes – 100,000 GBP.
Estimated length of contracts – Various from I year to 4 years.
These estimations are based on last year’s figures during the period June 2013 to August 2013.
Lot 4: Taxi Transport.
Various. Routine taxi transport for home to school transport for mainstream school children, special education needs children to attend school, looked after children to attend school or visits to family, and for vulnerable adults to attend day care centres.
Anticipated 50 routes to be required with an estimated combined value of all routes – 500 000 GBP.
Estimated length of contracts – Various from 1 year to 4 years.
These estimations are based on last year’s figures during the period June 2013 to August 2013. In addition to the requirements listed above the DPS may be used to tender urgent transport routes that arise during the period of this notice. This may include tenders for immediate transport requirements that have a significant social impact, or where an existing provider fails to deliver a route with immediate effect.

To be included in the invitation to tender for the specific contract requirements listed in this notice, providers must submit a successful indicative tender for selection on to the relevant lot of the DPS for Provision of Passenger Transport before 16:00 Tuesday 10.6.2014. All compliant indicative tenders received after this date will be admitted on to the DPS but will not be invited to tender for the specific contracts detailed in this notice.
