II.1.5)Short description of the contract or purchase(s):

United Utilities is seeking to award framework agreements to provide training resource for UU Projects where business as usual resource or alternative internal resource is unavailable. This resource could be for training design, delivery or both and there could be varying methods of design such as classroom or elearning required. Trainers will need to have extensive training delivery experience with a flexible approach to training techniques and must also have the ability to interpret business processes and translate them into new processes. It is envisaged that awards will be made to 1-2 suppliers per lot.
The tender will be split into the following Lots:
Lot 1 – System based Training Design/Delivery System based – Anticipated value GBP 600k over 2 years. This refers to new IT systems that UU are implementing or upgrades to existing systems currently installed. There may be a requirement to work with a third party to design and deliver the system based training or alternatively a requirement to deliver without design involvement and vice versa.
Lot 2 – ELearning Training Design – Anticipated value GBP 350k over 2 years
There is a requirement for elearning training to be designed and developed utilising best practice and instructional design, in accordance with UU Branding Guidelines and Elearning design guidelines. The current tools used are Uperform, Captivate and Articulate. Trainers will require experience in both creation of elearning material and understanding of different tools utilised throughout the elearning experience.
Lot 3 – Generic Training Design & Delivery – Anticipated value GBP 150k over 2 years
This refers to the project design and delivery where the Business change relates to process, behavioural or cultural change and there is a requirement for soft skills design and delivery or a more facilitative approach to training delivery.
Trainers will need experience of involvement in change programmes and delivery of transformational training.
