Summary:

Locality based community support services are required in Redcar and Cleveland which will enable people to successfully live in their own home, participate as an active member of their community and support community engagement.  Operating within a pre-defined geographical area the service will provide quality support to residents of the borough through advice, advocacy and information services, volunteer befriending provision and an early intervention support service.

The combined services will act on a prevention basis and contribute to reducing the need for statutory social care involvement and long term care.
