II.1.5)Short description of the contract or purchase(s)

The purpose of this Invitation to Tender is to invite tenders for the Provision of Training Services — Early Learning and Childcare — Accredited and Non-accredited.
The training courses are available to people who are currently working as childcare support workers, practitioners, lead practitioners and/or managers who require a qualification to register with the Scottish Social Services Council (SSSC) and/or keep up to date their conditions of registration related to Continuous Professional Development (CPD) requirements.
Tenderers must have approval from the Scottish Qualifications Authority (SQA) or City and Guilds and if required the Scottish Social Services Council (SSSC) to deliver all accredited training bid for.
Tenderers must be able to provide staff trained to the minimum standard acceptable by the sector specific approving bodies for delivery of non-accredited workshops (for example, an advanced level REHIS qualification to deliver the Food Hygiene and Prevention and Control of Infection courses).
Tenderers must be a be able to demonstrate at least 3 years’ experience of successful management and delivery of the Services similar in value and scope.
Tenderers must be able to provide staff trained to the same level or above for each course they are intended to deliver.
Tenderers must be able to demonstrate compliance with the Protection of Vulnerable Groups (Scotland) Act 2007 (‘the PVG Act’).
Tenderers must comply with and be able to demonstrate previous compliance with the Public Sector Equality duty and specific duties.
