East Sussex County Council let a new Highways and Infrastructure Service contract which commenced on the 1.5.2016, which is based on a fixed term of 7 years. As part of this process a new client group was formed including a team to manage the commercial aspects of the contract, an Asset Management team, a Performance and Compliance team and a Service Development team. This Procurement is to establish a single Professional Service based Contract to provide Commercial and Contract Support to replace the existing Highways ReProcurement Project Consultancy Support (HRPCS) contract that East Sussex currently has in place. The existing HRPCS arrangement has been in place to support the re-procurement of the new Highways and Infrastructure Service Contract and to provide commercial cost consultancy support from contract commencement to date.
