Development Educational Resources to Support Implementation of Refreshed Framework Maternity Care

Description of the goods or services required

This is a high level project seeking to support implementation of the Refreshed Framework for Maternity Care through development of resources which reflect the many opportunities for the maternity care workforce to promote health and positively influence outcomes for vulnerable women and their babies. Resources will be required to meet the needs of maternity care staff working in community and acute settings as well learners working within remote and rural environments.

NES wish to commission the development of educational resources gained from the experiential narratives or “stories” from women their partners and their care givers.

Development of narrative resources: there is a maximum budget of £40,000 GBP, excluding VAT for this project. Completion of the project is expected by 28th February 2013.

Any questions and answers in relation to this ITT will answered through our website and PCS.

NES are also commissioning the development of a virtual learning environment/scenario. The suppliers of the Story-Based Learning Resources and virtual learning environment will be required to share information between them to ensure that both work streams support one another. The stories gathered in the first work stream will, for example, inform the basis of the scenarios in the second work stream.
