The project seeks to contract with a Deliver Partner to work with qualifying SME’s to enable them to lease hire Electric Vehicles (EVs) and source, procure and install appropriate EV charging infrastructure.
The project involves: sourcing appropriate EVs and charging infrastructure; ensuring terms, costs and fees are competitive; administering grant payments to qualifying SMEs on behalf of the Council; ensuring the appropriate management systems are in place, ensuring that the project is managed in line with the Council’s requirements, identifying and supporting landowners at Strategic locations in South Yorkshire with funding and expertise to purchase and install appropriate high-speed, rapid charging points; and provide general marketing & client support to the participating SMEs and the wider stakeholder group.
In addition to this, the Delivery Partner will be required to promote this project and the Region’s Low Carbon Vehicle Strategy to local businesses by supporting interested SMEs in building an EV business case and with any future purchase/ lease hire or installations arrangements that may be required.
It is expected that the project will support circ. 100 SMEs in South Yorkshire.
