Description of the goods or services requiredSouth Lanarkshire Council realises the importance of work life balance for its employees and as a result wishes to identify a sole supplier who is able to provide a range of benefits and discounts/offers to help achieve this. The Contract Period will be for an initial term of 5 years from start date to be 1 February 2014–31 January 2019. This service is to be provided at NO cost to the Council. Requirements – Clear communication links between a nominated officer from the Council and the successful applicant to be established. – Creation of an external website detailing all discounts/offers to be made available to all employees. – The website should be maintained solely by the successful applicant. The Council will provide a link from the website to this to its own internal intranet. – A high percentage (e.g. 60%) of offers/discounts must be from Lanarkshire based companies covering a broad range of benefits (see list of examples below). – Leaflets detailing discounts/offers to be made available for distribution to staff that do not have access to the internet. The leaflets require be updated on an annual basis as a minimum. (the cost of which will be met by the successful applicant). – All updates (e.g. new companies or discounts/offers) must be co-ordinated and approved by a nominated officer from the Council at least 48hrs prior to upload. – The successful applicant will be responsible for marketing the Employee Benefits Scheme to all companies offering discounts/offers and for ensuring all staff within those companies are aware of the discounts/offers available. – Council staff will show their personal identification badge, at the venue, to obtain the discount/offer available. – The successful applicant will be required to provide a named contact to deal with any problems or issues that may occur.
