Description of the contract

The Research Councils HRNG would like to engage with high calibre providers to work in partnership with them to provide a set range of employee benefits on a full integrated electronic platform which would be available to all the Research Councils, the RCUK SSC Ltd and any new customers of RCUK SSC Ltd. This range of employee benefits would provide a key aspect of the Research Councils’ reward and recognition strategies. The key requirements include: •Working in partnership through the Research Councils HRNG to ensure we have a coherent approach in place to support the reward and recognition strategies in the Research Councils and the RCUK SSC Ltd. •Provision of a range of employee benefits which appeals to a wide demographic employee base •The ability to effectively communicate the package of benefits to employees to encourage wide uptake •The provision of a fully managed scheme which enables employees to interface directly with the supplier •The ability to offer benefits as part of both a flexible and voluntary benefits scheme •Scalable provision to enable the development of a benefits package over time •The provision of an employee help-line to resolve queries and provide assistance. •Modern web-enabled (platform independent) on-line access to systems fully hosted by the provider with proven data security provision (PCs, Apples and Unix machines are all in use across the Councils) •Future proofing to ensure the continued provision of the agreed package and the development of new offerings •The ability to on-board additional public sector customers, not necessarily Research Councils, along with any specific requirements that those customers may have •The provision of detailed management information regarding employee usage on a regular basis •The provision of, at least, annual Total Reward statements for all employees (NB. These would exclude pension details). •The ability to brand the platforms to individual customer requirements.
