Salford City Council is inviting tenders from suitably experienced organisations for the management and delivery of employer brokerage and support activities in the city.
 
The purpose of the service is to work with businesses to maximise employment and skills opportunities and to connect Salford people to them.
 
The service will focus delivery around the following three areas:
 
·         People  – Assessment, referral and connecting residents to opportunities;
·         Business – Recruitment, selection and skills development support; and
·         Place – Supporting regeneration programmes and growth sectors.
 
The service will support Salford’s commitment to reduce family poverty and improve the life chances of people in Salford.
 
The maximum affordability for the contract will be £150,000 per annum.  This includes TUPE costs.
 
The contract will commence on the 1st April 2013.  Salford City Council intends to award the contract for 2 years subject to available funding, with an option to extend for a further 12 months subject to satisfactory performance, outcomes review and funding availability.
 
The procurement of this service will be run as a one-stage process that will comprise a Provider Questionnaire and interview.

Please note: in parallel to this, Salford City Council are also inviting tenders for the following related contracts:
 

    • Targeted Careers, Information, Advice and Guidance Service for Young People aged 13 – 24 (and up to 25 for young people with learning difficulties and disabilities); and
    • Targeted Information, Advice and Guidance Service for Adults aged 25-64.

 
Providers also interested in the above contracts will be required to make separate applications to each.
 
The above contracts will align with Salford’s Family Poverty Commissioning Framework 2013-16.   Interested Providers are encouraged to make a separate application for the framework that is due to be published on The Chest on 12 November 2012.
