The University of Roehampton intends to increase its academic and student accommodation facilities, in line with its projected needs as outlined in its current draft Campus Masterplan, by adding two new buildings to its Digby Stuart College Campus site on Roehampton Lane London SW15 5PJ:
– The first building will comprise a new university library of approximately
6,500 square metres total gross floor area with a construction value of around 18 million GBP
– The second building will comprise 400 student bedrooms, arranged as self-contained flats, around 2000 square metres of student services accommodation and up to 150 basement or ground floor car parking spaces. Total gross floor space is approximately 16,000 square metres. The construction value is estimated at a value of around 30 million GBP.
Construction is intended to commence by Autumn 2013 with completion of both buildings by September 2016. This particular requirement is for the provision of engineering services (mechanical, electrical, public health, civil and structural).
The University”s preference is for a single appointment and, for that reason, responses from consortia will be considered. The University may also wish to engage the appointed contractor/consortia on related services and/or other projects connected to the Campus Masterplan.
