The event takes place annually. This year the event takes place at Miami Beach Convention Centre. It is the first time the event has taken place in the USA.
It is a two day event, comprising of:
– an opening and closing plenary presentation for approx 1200 delegates;
– a series of 30+ mini-plenary – parallel sessions for up to 300 delegates;
– poster presentations;
– an exhibition of approx 40 stands which takes place throughout the event;
– multi-purpose space for networking/ buffet lunch/down time etc;
– press room, speaker preview rooms and private meeting spaces.
The event takes place from 29 April to 1 May 2014, with 28 April being the set up day. There will be a small number of meetings held in the parallel session rooms on the afternoon of 29 April. There is a welcome reception at a separate venue on the evening of 29 April which could be added to this brief. Due to the calibre of delegate (policy makers and practitioners) the exhibition area also requires creative thought, as it is not wanted to have a trade fair atmosphere. Please note the exhibition build and management will be outsourced separately however layout in the scheme of the overall event will need to be considered. The exhibition typically consists of 40 shell schemes.
