UK Trade and Investment (UKTI) is considering initiating a restricted competition through the Official Journal of the European Union (OJEU) for the delivery and management of UKTIs UK and Overseas HQ-led events programme for 2013 to 2015.
We anticipate commencing the full procurement process early next year. A Supplier Day is planned for 12th December at One Birdcage Walk, Westminster, London, SW1H 9JJ, 10am to 12pm. If you wish to attend the meeting please email Kirsty.Madden@ssc.rcuk.ac.uk. Attendance is limited to two delegates per potential bidder, and the registration deadline is 5pm on Friday 7th December.
The successful bidder will be responsible for delivering c80 % of projected services to UK customers through the UKTI HQ Events and Missions programme in the UK and Overseas. This programme encompasses a diverse and bespoke range of inward missions, outward missions, UK sector events and overseas sector events. The remaining c20 % of customer services will be delivered through UKTI in house events teams under existing framework agreements.
Key deliverables will include:
Delivery and management of the Events and Mission programme (to include all project management, production, event and delegate logistics and financial management).
Driving innovation and design to help increase participation by the target business audience and maintain customer quality and satisfaction standards.
Developing processes and approaches that allow flexibility and scalability enabling UKTI to reach stretching growth targets.
Procurement, contracting and management all third party suppliers.
Recruitment of participants.
Liaison with key partners (e.g. trade associations) and stakeholders for individual events as required by UKTI.
Design and management of all reporting and management information as required.
The successful bidder will be accountable to the UKTI Trade Development Events and Mission Team and will be expected to liaise with all relevant areas of the UKTI network. Key Performance Indicators will be agreed with UKTI to align with its strategy and Ministerial priorities.
The operation of the successful bidder will be funded by UK Trade and Investment. The estimated value of this is 6m to 8.5m GBP, and the appointed contractor will manage throughput costs of c 30m GBP.
