Description of the contract
Tender for the supply of a review of existing evidence (on how heating controls affect domestic energy demand. This forms one work package within the first part of a two stage research programme (WP2). The aim of all the work packages in the first stage is to design a potential trial to evaluate whether smarter heating controls could save energy. It reviews evidence (the focus of this tender), gathers users requirements, scans emerging technologies and compares their usability in order to inform the design of a potential trial. These will inform a decision around whether to proceed to the second stage, a field trial to evaluate energy savings from smarter heating controls.
