Description of Service: An Exhibition Fit-Out Designer to lead on the design of the internal gallery fit-out to create (in conjunction with the client’s team) inspiring spaces which share the stories of the gallery, its collectors and the collections which it houses.

The Exhibition Fit-Out Designer as part of his service (and to be part of his fee) is to include for procuring, appointing and managing the professional services of a Design Team comprising –

      • Fit-Out Designer
      • Quantity Surveyor or equivalent
      • Graphic Designer Specialist
      • AV Specialist
      • Interactive Specialist
      • Any other Specialist required to complete the works

Estimate: £35,000.00

Contract Start: October 2013

Duration of Contract: As required

Contract Completion: On completion of Making Good Defects sign off

Tender Return Date: 12 noon 27 September 2013

SSIP Registration: It is a condition for anyone providing works or services on Barnsley MBC schemes that they are SSIP compliant/accredited. For the Service required under this tender the further category under SSIP of “Design” is required. If tenderers are registered with Constructionline then the additional Acclaim Accreditation is required to demonstrate Designer compliance.

Tenderers are to provide confirmation of such compliance/accreditation prior to the tender return. Where no confirmation is received the tender submitted will not be opened or evaluated.
Tendering/Scoring: This scheme will be tendered electronically through the YORtender System. The tender will be evaluated on a Price/Quality basis. Full details of the tendering process and method of evaluation is stated in Section 2 Instructions for Tendering and Tender Evaluation of the tender documentation. The date for return of tenders is 12 Noon 27 September 2013
