Description of the contract

The Chamber wishes to appoint a website developer who can design, build and host a website to promote the Chamber that encompasses the values of being leading edge, supportive and driven by quality along with an intranet. They would need to work closely with the Chamber’s In-house Marketing Team on the design, layout and functionality. Specific Functionality Required In order to meet our requirements the site needs to incorporate some specific functionality, in addition to standard pages of content, including: • The homepage of the site needs to provide us with the flexibility to draw attention to specific projects we are running at any given time (easily edited and navigated) • Video content must be easily integrated • Be able to integrate our CRM and feed via use of an API information back and forth (an API exists from the CRM developer for a WordPress platform). Data would need to be passed both ways • Internet security, exploit free when handling databases • Be fully SEO compatible with keywords and tagging • Clear predictive search terms which is based on keyword and shows the most relevant and recent information first • Have social Integration • The site should be compatible with mobiles devices and tablets (on a responsive platform) • The site should have the ability to create enquiry forms/newsletter sign up forms – both providing a means to capture data on new prospects through the site. This data should be able to be exported into excel format. • The site should provide an effective way for us to present customer testimonials/case studies, both in written and video format. • Minimal Content – less is more theory not over crowded, navigation and search term functionality is key • Contain an Event Calendar which can be filtered by type • E-commerce platform for membership registration/events and payment • There will need to be a secure members’ only area which can be accessed by password. The information on here can only be published to paying members. • We would like to have the ability to put time frame reminders on content. As we work on project content can become out of date quickly. We’d like to put a reminder option on pages so we can set when content should be refreshed or removed • We would want a news feed where we can publish stories, a jobs board and project and services page • We would also require an intranet which would hold all the documentation with regards to staff, policy and forms required by staff internally (this would need to be password protected. • Members only log in area (extranet) needs to be a built in as information which can’t be on the open website needs to be stored here • The development must be done on an open source i.e. WordPress based solution as modification would be needed in order to keep the website fresh. • A separate price for hosting the website including % of guaranteed up time with who you host. • Please also quote for any maintenance or consulting following the launch. This is required if we need help which is out of the skills set of our in-house team. • We would look for the company awarded the contract to advise the Chamber on a intranet which will engage our employees. It must include staff listing, phone numbers etc. • Areas for reports to be uploaded in subject order, case study section.
