The Council of the London Borough of Merton (“the Authority”) invites tenders from a suitably experienced organisation for the Contract of a PILOT Befriending Scheme (Merton Befriending Scheme- MBS) in the London Borough of Merton (“the Contract”).
The Contract will commence on 05th January 2015 terminating at midnight on 04th January 2017 (“the Contract Period”).
The overarching requirements of the befriending scheme are to:
Provide a mixture of face-to-face and telephonic services, operating on a one-to-one basis with Merton residents over the age of 65 years in order to reduce social isolation and loneliness in the people who receive this service.
The focus of the MBS is in the adult and elderly population of Merton with a specific emphasis given to Merton residents from Black, Asian and Minority Ethnic backgrounds.
The maximum value of the Contract is £100,000.
The closing date for receipt of quotations is 09:00 Hours (9 AM) on Monday 1st December 2014.
