Description
Families First (FF) is a Bradford programme, funded by the Government, running from 2012 to 2015, which will work with families facing serious problems, to “turn their lives round”. We will offer a joined-up ’menu’ of support, looking at the needs of the whole family, not just of individual members. The programme is also designed to last beyond the end of the funding, by making long-lasting changes to the way that different agencies, such as the Council, Police and Health Services, work together, in order to improve services and get better value for money. Families First aims to support families who are experiencing a mixture of difficulties in their lives. Our key targets, as set by the Government, are to: • reduce truancy, • cut levels of crime and anti-social behaviour, • support all over 16s in the families into work We also aim to deal with other problems that the families may be facing including: • debt and financial difficulties, • housing problems, • health issues, • substance abuse • domestic violence. Families will be triaged into three tiers. • Tier 1 Low Risk • Tier 2 Medium Risk • Tier 3 High Risk We aim to work with around 600 families in the first year and similar numbers in the next two years. These will be from a mixture of all 3 tiers. The Tier 2 Keyworker approach is central to the delivery of Families First. We need staff who can undertake this role to act as supporter, enabler, challenger and positive role model to lift the family and to assist in the co-ordination of services. The City of Bradford Metropolitan District Council are seeking suitably experienced organisations for the provision of the above service and further details are in the tender documents that can be downloaded from this site after registering interest in the tender using the link on this page. Should you have any further queries regarding this requirement then these should be addressed to the named contact point only after reading the tender documents.
