II.1.4)Short description:

Swindon Borough Council (SBC), wishes to submit to tender the requirements for the provision of fire safety management services to residential and corporate assets within the Borough of Swindon.

The contractors will be required to undertake various elements of fire safety on residential and corporate assets.

The services are split into 7 lots:

1) Fire Risk Assessments (Type 1 Communal Areas and Type 3 Internal Dwelling Inspections);

2) Fire Door Inspections;

3) Dry and Wet Risers Service and Maintenance;

4) Fire Extinguishers Service and Maintenance;

5) Smoke Vents Service and Maintenance;

6) Sprinklers Service and Maintenance;

7) Compartmentation Surveys (this is a one off piece of work for a 1 year contract period).

It is anticipated that each lot will be awarded to a single company to deliver these services, however it is possible for bidders to be awarded more than one lot.

Full details relating to the works are provided in the tender documents.

To participate, suppliers will need to register as a supplier with ProContract, www.supplyingthesouthwest.org.uk, then register an interest before obtaining access to the tender documents. For lots 1-6

The contract will be initially for a period of 36 months commencing 6 July 2020, with the option to extend for two further periods of 24 months each.

For lot 7

This is a one off piece of work for a 1 year contract period.

Tender responses are required to be submitted no later than 15 April 2020, 12.00 UK Local time via ProContract Tender Portal — www.supplyingthesouthwest.org.uk

If you require any clarifications on the tender documents, please submit these in writing via messaging in ProContract Tender Portal, including the project reference and title clearly in the subject title, by 30 March 2020, 12.00 UK Local time.

The Council’s responses to these clarification questions will be uploaded to the ProContract Tender Portal and it is the bidders responsibility to check the portal for updates.

Please note that this project has been advertised on Tenders Electronic Daily (TED) contract notice, contracts finder/other web portals, however, Supplying the South West Portal is the only portal that includes all the relevant documents required to respond to this opportunity, bearing Project Id: DN293702
