Description

The Flood and Water management team are conducting Market research and would like to hear from Suppliers in relation to the below information.

The Flood and Water Management Act 2010, paragraph 13 (4) enables one Flood Risk Management Statutory Authority to arrange for a flood risk management function to be exercised on its behalf by another Flood Risk Management Statutory Authority, who are listed under paragraph 6 (13) including: the Environment Agency, a District Council, an Internal Drainage Board, or a Water Company. Therefore environmental consultancies should not apply.

The service provider should be locally based to enable sustainable site visits to be undertaken and will be required to have at least two years of experience of reviewing, assessing, determining and issuing section 23 Land Drainage consents for Ordinary Watercourses on behalf of a Local Authority. The provider will also have extensive experience of regulating through enforcement, the management of activities on ordinary watercourses, to ensure that flood risk is managed appropriately.
