Description of the contract

Ceredigion County Council wishes to operate a framework agreement for the provision of Road Markings and Road Studs. The framework will be split into 2 Lots, as detailed below:

Lot 1 – Road Marking (Superimposed horizontal road markings)

Lot 2 – Road Studs (Retro reflecting road studs)

The Framework will be for 2 years with the possibility of an extension for further period of up to 2 years.

Ceredigion County Council works in collaboration with Powys County Council and so the framework is also open for use by Powys County Council.

The general specification must be carried out in full accordance with the Specification for Highway Works (SHW) that forms part of the Manual of Contract Documents for Highway Works (MCDHW) as issued by the Government Departments and the Highways Agency including all the latest amendments and additions in force prior to the closing date of this tender.

Detailed specifications for each lot (product and service) are included in the Invitation to Tender documents (Specifications and Pricing Schedules – Subsection C refers).

Tenderers must provide one bound copy of their tender submission. A copy of the documentation (including Appendices/Attachments) is available electronically upon request. Tenders will only be accepted in hard copy form, i.e. the amended disk will not be accepted as a tender submission. All tenders must be in ink or be typewritten and all prices must be in pounds sterling. Any tenderer that fails to comply with this format of response may be disqualified.
