Description
INTRODUCTION & BACKGROUND Scarborough Borough Councils Asset management team are seeking to appoint suitable contractors to a Framework Contract for the provision of painting and decorating in order to maintain the Councils Property Portfolio. SCOPE The proposed term of this Contract is for a period of 3 years. The Contract will be awarded in 2 Lots to reflect the Geographical make up of the Borough and has an estimated value of £25,000K per annum The successful contractors will be required to work with the Councils Asset management team and shall be capable of providing a high standard of work. It is anticipated that some of the works will be planned; however the majority of the works are likely to be of a reactive nature. Any successful companies will need to work in conjunction with the current maintenance teams to complete repairs to both Property and buildings. These jobs are likely to be of low value and are likely to include tasks such as staining Benches following repair, decorating new installations such as doors, and other small areas of decoration where a repair may have be required. For works of this nature our maintenance department does require a great deal of flexibility from its contracting partners. Any company interested in this contract, will need to first of all register their interest, and then complete the pre qualification questionnaire (found under the view full documentation tab) . This questionnaire will be assessed using a combination of pass/fail criteria and a weighted scoring system. All questions which have a pass/fail score will be evaluated first. If a “fail” score is awarded on any of these questions this will result in the Pre-Qualification Question being rejected Contractors who are deemed compliant through the pre qualification questionnaire will then be Short Listed. Any company that is short listed will be invited to submit a tender based on a standard specifications for the all the different types of works involved
